More than just a headache, Migraine is an intense throbbing or pulsating sensation on one side of the head. The excruciating pain can last from hours to days. Treatment

There is no cure for migraines but there are some pain relieving drugs which are available to ease or prevent the symptoms of the attack. Some medications, also known as acute or abortive treatments, are taken to stop the symptoms that presents itself during a migraine attack while there are preventive drugs that can be taken regularly to reduce the frequencies or severities of the migraine attacks. In severe cases, Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) is injected every three months, using specific migraine protocols, that is proven to be an extremely effective treatment for severe cases of status migrainous.
